Xavier Rudd – Spirit Bird

Check out this amazing piece of music by Australian Singer/Songwriter Xavier Rudd.

Give it time and wonder why do what we can laugh an we cry and we sleep in your dust because we’ve seen this all before.
Culture fades with tears and grace leaving us stunned hollow with shame we have seen this all, seen this all before.
Many tribes of a modern kind, doing brand new work, same spirit by side, joining hearts and hand and ancestral twine, ancestral twine.
Many tribes of a modern kind, doing brand new work, same spirit by side, joining hearts and hand and ancestral twine, ancestral twine.
Slowly it fades. Slowly we fade
Spirit bird she creaks and groans she knows she has, seen this all before she has, seen this all before.
Spirit bird she creaks and groans she knows she has, seen this all before she has, seen this all before.
Slowly it fades. Slowly you fade
Soldier on soldier on my good country man. Keep fighting for your culture, now keep fighting for your land.
I know its been thousands of years and i feel your hurt and i know its wrong and you feel youve been chained and broken and burned and those beautiful old people those wise old souls have been ground down for far too long by that spineless man that greedy man that hearless man deceiving man government hand taking blood and land taking blood and land and still they can but your dreaming and your warrior spirit lives on and it is so so so strong in the earth in the trees in the rocks in the water in your blood and in the air we breath
Soldier on soldier on my good country man, keep fighting for your children now keep fighting for your land
Slowly it fades slowly we fade slowly you fade slowly it fades
Give it time and we wonder why do what we can laugh and we cry and we sleep in your dust because weve seen it all before

Around the World on a Motorcycle

We have all, at some point decided that in the future in our lives, we will travel the world. Some of us are thinking about it right now. While others might have already started saving up for the trip. Regardless of where you are on the planning, we all want to see what the world we live in looks like. There are obviously many challenges for everyone who wants to travel and live the life they’ve always pictured in their heads. For many of us, money poses an issue; while for others the fear of traveling alone to a complete unknown is what’s keeping them from taking the first step. Despite the challenges and a dream to see the see the world, there are a few who dare to achieve their dreams. This man from China took his BMW R1200GS around the world. Below is the video of his adventure. Feel free to comment your thoughts of his adventure down below.

The High Pass: Trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal

The Annapurna Circuit is a trek in central Nepal that climbs to an altitude of 5,400m through Thorung La pass, one of the highest trekking passes in the world, below peaks that rise 6000-8000m in elevation from the Annapurna Range. See as Jeff Pelletier attempts to complete the trek in about 15 days starting mid-December of 2013, when the shoulder season promised much smaller crowds but with it a risk of deep snow that early winter can bring to the Pass.
